Getting a character to level 80 in Warcraft can seem a long process. But you should prioritise this above everything else to begin with, here’s why;
1 – The game is now very heavily tilted to wards end-game content. Levelling is getting faster and faster, simply because there is so much more to do once you get to level 80. That’s where the fun starts.
2 – You can compete in full blown PvP. Sure there are battlegrounds at every level, but at level 80 they become massive fights with the latest in user controlled vehicles and the greatest rewards in terms of what PvP rep can buy you.
3 – Your own self esteem will take a boost. Reaching 80 is a great feeling. Suddenly it’s like a new game. Everything just seems to matter “more” than it did before. Walk tall.
4 – Cataclysm? Heard of it? Well, if you want to get straight into the new end-game content, and be a competitor once the raids at level 85 begin, you need characters ready to go.
5 – Finally making worthwhile gold. I know some guides tell you that it’s possible to make gold at any level, and to an extent that is true. But at level 80 it becomes so much easier. Just playing the game and selling the loot you pick up will yield around 200 gold per hour on most servers. Don’t go to all that hassle early in the game for a few gold pieces here and there. Your coffers will start to fill up very nicely once you get a level 80; just by playing the game as it should be played.
Ok, the goals of being gold rich and levelling up sometimes seem to get in each others way. They shouldn’t though. There are great new systems to help you succeed in both areas. Not old fashioned e-books and nonsense like that, but new great methods that let you get the gold you want, and spend your time levelling as efficiently as possible.
