Why Not To Buy The Sony Ebook Reader.
Posted by Joseph Rusinko in Internet on November 8th, 2009
The battle of the giants, Sony eBook Reader and Amazon Kindle is fierce. The Kindle 2 and the Sony Reader, both have the same size screen: 6 inches. Ive tried both and I have to say despite its odd shape the Kindle 2 came out well ahead after a while just in terms of how well it worked and some of the features.
You will probably learn very quickly that you get what you pay for in life and that is no different when it comes to Kindle copycats. The Sony Ebook Reader is quickly making some friends but it is only because people are not looking deep enough into the product. For starters, the most obvious difference between the Kindle 2 Ebook Reader and the Sony Ebook Reader is that the Sony version is cheaper.
From the outset, the Kindle 2 looks quite good, its much better looking than the Sony, and has an impressive battery life of around 7,000 page turns, a 6 inch reflective screen mimicking paper, and a light weight of around 220g with its battery. With all the talk comparing the Kindle 2 with iPhone and iPod Touch for ereading, the original Sony Ereader has gotten lost in the shuffle.
